Best Guess as to Breed?

I had never heard of Lemon Blues, before, either, so I just now Googled images of them. Gorgeous! That's what I'm going to tell folks my boy is; he looks a lot like them. Here is a picture of him when he was littler. He was so gentle, then, and trilled like a songbird atop my head. Nikki, do you think he still looks like a Blue X Buff Orpington cross in this photo below?:

Well..... I dont know for sure..... I picked him up at a feed store... poor thing was the last one there with his precious Miss Hawk. I'm guessing he is a Old English Game mix of some sort. Anyhow.... I love him! That pic was when he was 7 monthes old.

The FlockMaster named Jersey Giant has an OEGB. I just learned what the initials meant from JerseyGiant, the other day.

Chuck the Chick, you should talk with JerseyGiant. His rooster is full of personality like yours. JerseyGiant has some very good stories to tell about her/his OEGB rooster, too!

Thanks, Nikki,

I THOUGHT, all along, that Baby was an Orp. The farmer must not have realized he had an Orp rooster? Or is it possible that my rooster could have the coloring he does with a white leghorn papa and a Buff Orpington Mama? Could the Orp genes dominate the white leghorn ones, and make the feathering the gold-and-blue like he has???? Could that explain why he was a scrawny Orp?

Thanks for saying my hen is pretty, Chuck the Chick! I think so, too! Her name is Saffrenee. She has bright yellow legs, and I think she might be half Rhode Island Red.

'Baby,' the rooster, is a real Fussbudget. He's super prissy and has an anal personality and won't put up with any nonsense from anyone. He's a fine protector of the hens. He even scares the #1 Tomcat, who bullies all the other cats.

That hen by him is his best buddy. She would squat to mate with him when his hormones first hit a year ago and he was still awkward and bumbling about it. But she was so forgiving and encouraging of him. She's a real sweetheart.

Tiny, the Giant, sounds so cute! I'd love to see a picture of him.
I sure am glad that some else has a roo that acts like he doesn't know how to behave properly when mating! I think my Salmon Faverolles roo muct still be a pre-teenager...he is also a bumbling oaf! LOL! No wonder my hens prefer my Dark Cornish roo.
