That's pretty late in the season already. I prefer to get chicks in the spring. If it works for you then that's okay.
It'll be warm, & still technically summer. They'll ready to go out on the second to last week of September.

I've gotten them that late and later. It's nice because it's warm out and chicks can go outside within a few days.
 
I wait until about 8-9 weeks to make sure they're all feathered out good enough.
They are feathered enough by 4 weeks at those outside temperatures. You should at least put them out during the day to avoid boredom and pecking.
 
In early spring my hens have the Chicks out scratching around and the Definitely are not under her constantly. They survive running around with snow still on the ground. All they need is a heat source to warm up under and a secure house without drafts.
