I have a somewhat moveable coop and today I moved it 25 ft in order to have some bulldozer work done tomorrow. I probably should have waited till night, but holy cow, my chickens were screwed up worse than a football bat. They kept running to where the coop was, they are let out during day, and back to were the coop is. Finally, my ee led the the other hens up to the roost. However Turkey, my rooster, he still couldn't figure it out. Eventually, after really coming to understand the term "like herding chickens" I got him in too. I had know idea that would be such a complex problem for them to solve. This will definitely go on the list of things to remember.
