Big news in TEXAS this week!

Its so very frustrating. I got a nice little letter stating my HOa would sue me if I didn't remove my girls. Sure was counting on this Bill. Great. I have sent letters as well. I know they are just chickens but to my 4 yr old they were pets. All 4 of them.

One of many reasons I despise HOA's. Jim Bob, a member of the HOA board can probably have them; but Joe Schmoe can't. HOA's are notoriously corrupt and cliquey. On the bright side he is four. Get him a puppy. Puppies make just about everyone smile.

This is also an email address on Senator Van Taylor's website. I just wrote him there as well letting him know Senator Campbell had wrote the governor about one of her issues and asking if he would do the same regarding SB1620.

I just learned that today, 6 June, the Governor, Greg Abbott is calling a special session of the legislature to come back to deal with issues so treacherously destroyed by the Democrats.

I called office and spoke directly with a Governor's Liaison, and requested that every bill attached to HB4180, that was wickedly and maddeningly set as a trap by the Democrat who wrote it to undo all the legislation that the Republicans did to help Texans, including the Chicken Bill, and the Annexation Bill, SB715, be included in the recall, and that the special sessions continue to be called until every bill is resolved positively in the Texas people's favor.

I cried out against the usurpation of the peoples' rights by one individual of a political party, against local townships, cities, and by HOA's, who are not a governmental body, that the will of the people should rise above all parties who would take away our given rights, by our duly elected officials, and in there place, institute their own personal wills against the people. I cried out against the will of one aspiring over the will of the majority for the wicked purposes of partisan politics.

If y'all in Texas want this Chicken Bill, now is the time to call and put the heat. The governor at this moment is writing the order to call a special session. Call before it is too late!

Ask to speak to the Governor
Do not leave a message on the Governors recorder
Wait for a live person
Open fire!
Let them have it!

Thanks to all who have worked and prayed for this issue to be positively resolved.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the Lt. Governor, who is a Republican, gave the final days session in the Senate, to a Democrat.

Awesome...what did the governor's liaison say to you in response?

The Governor's office is being inundated with angry callers demanding special sessions until all the work blocked by the Democrats be resolved in the people's favor. The switchboard is lit up like the Griswald House in the movie.

I want to remain optimistic. People still need to call.

I would think we have time to write as well... Send a letter to each!

Governor Abbott has called a special session. Here are the list of the 19 items to be resolved. Nothing more can be added, by law. Sadly, the Chicken Bill was left out.

Here are the 19 items, as described by Abbott's office:
Teacher pay increase of $1,000
Administrative flexibility in teacher hiring and retention practices
School finance reform commission
School choice for special needs students
Property tax reform
Caps on state and local spending
Preventing cities from regulating what property owners do with trees on private land
Preventing local governments from changing rules midway through construction projects
Speeding up local government permitting process
Municipal annexation reform
Texting while driving preemption
Privacy
Prohibition of taxpayer dollars to collect union dues
Prohibition of taxpayer funding for abortion providers
Pro-life insurance reform
Strengthening abortion reporting requirements when health complications arise
Strengthening patient protections relating to do-not-resuscitate orders
Cracking down on mail-in ballot fraud
Extending maternal mortality task force

I am sick to my stomach. They pulled everything off the HB4180 Bill but SB1620!

Call the Governor and show your righteous indignation!

Calling Governor's office right now!

Call right now and demand SB1620 to be added to the Special Session! It can still be done! The list is not final yet!

Calling Van Taylor's office!

Just spoke to Taylor's office in Plano. Call them! They want the bill too! Call them and share your thoughts!
