Donna Cambel's office said that only the Govener can bring something to the floor in special session. And that Representatives are not allowed to lobby.
So, if that is case, I guess our only resource is to try and send messages to Govener Abbott.

Yes but reaching out to others also can't hurt. They have been working on a ton of bills so someone needs to bring attention to our chicken oversight He might not be aware this bill got lost along the way.

Well Porkchop you are absolutely right! Apparently our Senators pick their own battles. I just received an email from our neighborhood with a letter from Senator Campbell to Governor Abbott asking him to please include SB 715 or The Texas Annexation Right to Vote Act. It was asking everyone to vote write Abbott asking for it because the city of New Braunfels is talking about annexing where we live.
Sounds bad right? But the city of New Braunfels ALLOWS CHICKENS!
I'm going to send Governor Abbott an email and I would like to ask y'all to do the same. And like you said Porkchop "can't hurt"

I tried to go back and get the actual contact email but all I got was "thank you for contacting..." message, so apparently you are only allowed to contact once. But all I did was go to the governor's office

And go to contact. We need to get as many in as we can. I mentioned that since the bill passed 50-0 it should not take that much time to push it through.

On the governors contact page down at the bottom there are links to Facebook Twitter etc. I'm going to send a Facebook message. We need to hit them from all angles. You never know which one will get read first.

Its so very frustrating. I got a nice little letter stating my HOa would sue me if I didn't remove my girls. Sure was counting on this Bill. Great. I have sent letters as well. I know they are just chickens but to my 4 yr old they were pets. All 4 of them.
