To make matters worst, his buddy has a broken toe nail. I have no idea what happened, just blood around the nail...

This is extremely strange. It seems like his crop just filled up with the fluid at once which is very different to anything I can find.He seemed to poop normally, just went out and checked. Of course, I can't tell for sure since we have several birds. And he didn't flinch, hardly at all.
I'd keep him inside and spray anti-bacterial spray on the toe.To make matters worst, his buddy has a broken toe nail. I have no idea what happened, just blood around the nail...

Birds in the us do get gape worms!Honestly, I’m not sure that that’s even a parasitic worm. I’m wondering if it’s something he ate that impacted his crop? You’re right, chickens don’t vomit so any food that comes out has been blocked from going down into the stomach. That looks like a common garden grub.... and since you’re in the US, it’s probably not gapeworm and those are way smaller and don’t come out like that. Can’t wait for someone else to respond, I’m extremely curious.
And don’t beat yourself up. Chickens are delicate and get sick easily. Every issue is a learning experience.
How big is that thing? Can you put a quarter next to it and take a pic? I can’t really gauge the size.
it is a fact that gapeworm is incredibly rare in the US. I didn’t say they don’t get it; I said it’s unlikely.Birds in the us do get gape worms!
No problem! Gape worms are known to affect certain kinds of bop’s but no, it’s not common!it is a fact that gapeworm is incredibly rare in the US. I didn’t say they don’t get it; I said it’s unlikely.
