@sybonbon Still a stunning girl! Looks like she's getting close to POL 😍 Have you checked her pelvic spacing and/or has she started to squat for you? I can't remember her breed. What color egg, brown?

Thank you.. Shes a Blue Cuckoo Marans. She can possibly lay a dark chocolate egg. Tilly is not squatting yet. I'm waiting for it. This is her sister.

Shes a beautiful girl too! I love those Marans eggs. I've got one Marans and her eggs are gorgeous. It's crazy how different your girls faces look. With my hen that has gypsy face (Blue Dutch Bantam with <birchen hackles> where gypsy face is often seen I believe), it wasn't obvious until she was laying. Now even at a year old, I'm noticing the dark color taking over more and more of her face, wattles, comb and earlobes. She was around 6 months old before she started laying, so in the last 7 months, I've noticed the gypsy face coloring taking over her entire head. It's not taken over completely, but the pigment does seem to VERY SLOWLY expand. Even if Tilly's wattles are pink/red, there's still a chance she'll keep her dark face. The color is happening in the opposite way than my hen, but I imagine it's a possibility, even if it's small.

She’s a blue marans. The only difference between a blue and a blue cuckoo is one barring gene, which she lacks.
Yes. It doesn't concern me. I am not a breeder nor was I looking for any particular breed when I got her. I call her the breed that I was told she is.
