Black comb and wattle? What is this?

Swedish Isbar
Swedish Isbar - white is a no no in Isbars
Russian Pavlovskaya
Swedish Isbar

Some breeds just have such similar patterns that it’s tough to guess. Which is probably what happened with Mr stoner chimken dealer lol

The Silverudds Blues (Isbars) all lay green speckled eggs.
I wouldn't know an isbar if it hit me in the face 🤣
I got a Silver Laced Wyandotte that was supposed to be a Cuckoo Marans, and a Buff Orpington that was supposed to be a Light Sussex. They were chicks at the time, but the man breeds chickens. He should have known the breeds of the chicks he was selling. They were pretty obviously not what he said.

So I sent him a message to ask if they were a Wyandotte and a BO, and he didn't reply. 🤣

Oh wow-you've managed to stump both of us XD you're just too fancy for me.

Not fancy! Just like weird/different. I wanted all Ayam Cemanis, then I realized they’re common where I live and not weird/different anymore. Needed to one up in the game of weirdness.

After this thread, I won’t need to breed the Cemanis and Marans to see what they will look like lol

My *dream* flock (of standard birds) is a mix of common breeds, rarer breeds, and barnyard mixes. I'd also like a flock of purebred birds for selling and showing, (was thinking maybe ayams but maybe not) a flock of bantams, and a flock of TINY bantams-sebrights, seramas, and japanese bantams for the most part. In this wonderful dream farm, I'm in the country so I'm allowed to have roosters.

Having a variety is interesting. Bantams won’t work here as the emus try to squish small things. Broodies can’t bring their babies out either. Do you have a breeding setup?

As you can see we have a lot of the noise makers too! This is about a quarter of the flock. Some of the roos have become dinner for a couple families, sadly.

Alright... now guess the breeds lol

Lol....the one in the front I'll say minorca simply because of the white earlobe...I bet that at least 5 of these are those Isbar ones from earlier.....

Yes, on my fantasy farm my purebred flock is for breeding and I'll have a breeding setup if I want specific birds. I think that from that I can probably show birds, sell hatching eggs, sell chicks, and sell adult birds.

So close! The black one up front is a French Barbezieux.

I have Deathlayers separated in a run. Three buyers waiting for eggs. They’re not the best of layers despite their name! But $60 for a half dozen, I’ll definitely provide them some hatching eggs.

I think you really have to know what people are looking for. I’m breeding one kind at a time. For personal flock and to make some extra $ to cover feed. That’s it. That $60 only covers 3 days of organic feed lol. I’ll leave it to the pros to make the big bucks. Good luck on your venture! Curious to see a breeding coop/run setup.

You're gonna have to wait a while for pics.....this is a fantasy setup and since I'm a minor won't happen for a good long while.
