Black fungus?

My Rooster has some black stuff on his comb. It doesn't look like mites, but I am having a hard time catching him. He roosts up in the rafters. Has anyone heard of a black fungus? I think one of my hens has some white fungus below her ears. Does anyone know of a remedy? Thank you for any help.

Are you sure the black is not scabs? Like fowlpox? A white fungus could be fauvus, but fowlpox scabs follow small yellowish-while lesions, so that seems more likely. How bad are mosquitos in your area?

Sorry SS, I was offline for 4 days! I managed to get ahold of my banty roo fellow and sure enough, they look like scabs. He's been scrappin alot lately with another roo, so I thought they might be from that. Strangely, yesterday I looked again and they are almost gone. None of the hens have any. I will read up on the pox and see if that is what is going on. I hope not! Thanks again!
