can anyone tell me how serious the pics above are I know there bad but like "just keep taking care of him and he'll be ok" bad or "prepare my self for being with out him" bad.

Don't give up. Wound like that will take some time. Do the daily soap and water wash with Dawn dish soap and put the Neosporin in it three times a day.

I feel like chunks wounds look a lot better today. still a long way to go before he all better but I think I do see an improvement and he's still acting like absolutely nothing happened walking around eating sleeping pooping and crowing.

Most important thing is him continuing to do his chicken thing. That is a good sign his health is good. It will take some time to heal and glad he is on the mend

I agree that his wounds look like they are healing. I would get some Vetericyn Wound Spray, and use it twice a day. Plain Neosporin after that is good also twice a day. It may take several weeks for the wounds to heal, but they look like they will.

Yes, good sign......just keep the antibiotic ointment on it..and and eye out for any extreme redness, just like a human wound

I just saw this. If something like that ever happens again you can be sure it’s infected and the bird needs strong antibiotics. Even then it might not have survived. Whatever tore into him likely had a mouthful of bacteria that got into his bloodstream.
