I think we went thru this once before. Was told it was viral and not serious, but might set chickens up to be vulnerable to something worse. I gave a course of tetracycline as prevention. Does this sound right?

The spots do look like pox, it's a virus transmitted by mosquitoes and will run it's course. Breathing heavy could be she is hot or it could mean a respiratory infection.
I don't think any other ladies pecked her she does have another spot on the other waddle that is kinda white what I have read and saw pics looks as poxCould it be blood? Did any of the chickens peck her?

Thank you so much for the input every bit of helpful info helps. It is hot here in San Diego so that could be why she's breathing heavy I will keep my eye on her now is pox contagious? The scabs can be contagious, so that's why I don't mess with them. It's also possible other birds can get infected by mosquitoes. Of all the bird diseases they can get, pox will at least heal up and go away and the bird should have immunity to it after that.Thank you so much for the input every bit of helpful info helps.
