Black walnuts? Where to get these?

So that's basically the question... where would I get my sticky fingers on a pile of black walnuts for human consumption?

Yep, there was a few days ago, anyways.

We have a pear tree that still has fruit on the branches, even though a bunch of them were blown off during our 30 mile an hour wind gusts on Tuesday.

I have a bunch that are dried in my garage........ we put them up for the winter

and btw - we have 3 HUGE Black walnut trees in our yard - very very old ones.

Now..how to ship these thru the mail??

In Fort Knox Ky. Right between the the elementary school behind Kelly street is a road , i think its called Paquete or so. They have a few standing there . I took them back in 01/02 by the ton.

Mine are all done. The tree's have been bare of leaves and nuts for a month or more.

Just ask anyone with a few black walnut trees in their yard. They'd be very happy to give you some for free.

Ok., dumb question here.
My dad has a walnut tree in his back yard. I didn't know that walnuts are encased in this fluffy (sorta) wrapper?? My kids thought they were rein deer poop.

Anyway, how do you get the walnut out? How long do they have to dry for?

Pulease come take my black walnuts!!! But, my trees are bare and the ones that hit the ground are not edible anymore I don't think....
