Blood in poop! What to do?

Yes, it's "most likely" Cocci.

Do you have a TSC (Tractor Supply Store) or another farm supply type store? GRain mills often carry it, too. Both Corid and Sulmet are typically very easy to find. You can find it online, too, but with young chicks, you really need to get treatment started asap for the best results. GOOD LUCK!!!

hey, algo - I see you're in Ripley, TN - I Googled and found this place - just called them, and they DO have Corid:

RIPLEY FEED, 662-837-8813. 1020 City Ave N Ripley, Tennessee 38663

ddawn...I almost didn't do that, because it almost felt like stalking...but, I know sometimes folks who haven't had chickens that long don't realize you can get stuff like that at feed stores. So, just in case...

I called that # and they are located in Ripley MS not TN. I thought the # looked strange but got all excited anyway.
I have called the Ripley Farm store, Tractor supply, both vets, and local hardware store that sells some farm supplies and they all said no.
The on line link I was given will not answer their phone and it looks like that is the only way to order from them.
I have one more link to try.
Thank you so much Wynette for helping and I don't think that is stalking, just being very nice and helpful.

I am convinced it is cocci now cuz I went to check on my chicks again and there was another chick pooping solid blood and had next to no energy.

Whoo!! Hooo!! I called that Ripley MS # and talked the guy into shipping me some corid! He said I would be the first customer he would have ever shipped anything to like that. He is the closest (about 3 hours away) so it should get here soon and since I work at my local post office, I might can talk the clerk working Sunday into letting me come up and get it if it comes in then!

OH, I'm so glad you found some! How WEIRD that they list their address in the online yellow pages as TN when they are not there! HA! Anyway, I'm glad you have some coming - probably will be here today? I'm shocked that none of the farm store places had it, as they always seem to be stocked around here...but, you never know how different areas decide what to put in stock. I hope you can get them going on it asap! Please keep us posted!!
