Blood On Eggs???

My Silkie laid her first egg this am and there was a little blood... I guess it's normal?

Ours did the same. It stopped after her first few eggs. I'm sure yours will too!

It does commonly happen with first time layers, it can also happen occationally with seasoned layers as well and it not be an issue. If it happens frequenly I'd be concerned. I always check vents if I find one just in case. Sometimes it can be something more serious like a prolapse.
