I think perhaps my roosts are too high and/or I don't have enough bedding on the floor. So when they jump down they get a soft tissue injury on the pad of their foot that can lead to bumble foot.
After cleaning the coop just now it is quite clear to me that the blood is not in poop. It just looks like somebody was bleeding overnight. I'll give you guys an update in the morning after I inspect everyone individually. I was able to get the bumble foot core out of everyone in whom I found it. Going to go get some blue coat or Scarlex Oil to apply to the wound tonight. After I cleaned it out I applied some triple antibiotic , but I'd like to do something that will adhere to the tissue like bluecoat or scar Lex oil. Thanks again so much everyone!
