I have a hen that has has a poo that looks bloody. One poo looked normal but had a watery/red discharge with it. Later she had one that was about quarter size and thick and moist. Almost looked like a small dog poo that was sort of like diharrea. Should I be concerned?

I just brought home my first three chicks last night! I have raised Japanese quail, but these are my first chickens.

One of them has bloody poop. It appears to have become less bloody overnight, but I am worried about it. I would also like to know if that is something to worry about, what should be done and if the others should be treated for potential illness.

I hope someone will respond!

Search BYC for Cocci. I'm dealing with what may be Cocci myself, and there's loads of information on here about it.

Are you looking at real blood that is red like after you cut yourself? If so that is probably cocci which they get from contact from soil where the protozoa lives. If it's brownish and creamy, it's probably cecal poo, which is nothing to worry about.
