That is a must! You have to post later pic of this chick OR4-hmom, it so cute and interesting.I have never had this color before (so yellow) I would like to see pics of this chick when it is laced....I think it is going to be sooooo pretty!
Maybe it will lay golden eggs.Is that suppose to be a BLRW? If it is .....interesting???? I can't wait for the professionals to get on here to tell me what is going on with this chick.. Never seen one like that??![]()
Edit: Still very pretty and cute!
That definitely does NOT look like a blr chick coloration, but could it be because I raise bantam blrw's instead of standards? Are the bantam baby colors different from standard? That looks kind of like the light brown leghorn chicks that I used to raise, or, as chicks, the 'chipmunk' striping...
Anyways, I bred two bantam blrw's, and got 4 blue laced red's, 1 white laced red, and 1 splash laced red. Zarasha isn't exactly white laced red, just blue laced red without the blue! Kinda white laced orange. I know from reading somewhere that breeding blrw's produces 50% blr's, 25% blacklr's, and 25% splashlr's. Is this true? And why did I get a 'white laced orange'? Anyone that experienced in color genetics? Maybe I'll get pics eventually.
