Bob Blosl is gone

There is no greater joy later in life than to be a mentor to the next generation. There was that joy in every one of the Bob's posts. I for one am going to stay away from the glue. My efforts in the buff brahmas are dedicated to Bob.

It is with great sadness that I have to inform everyone that Robert (Bob) Blosl has passed away.  Matt and I have both spoken with his wife Zora who is in total shock and completely devastated as the rest of us are. When I find out more information I will post it as this has just happened in the past couple of hours. I have become very close with Bob and he held a wealth of information and was more than willing to help anyone. He was the best cheerleader that the Rhode Island Reds EVER had. May he continue to cheer them on in Red Heaven.

I cannot express how sad this makes me. Both here and in emails I loved to listen to Bob talk about his love of poultry.

The world is a smaller and sadder place for his passing. Prayers going up for his family.

What a sad day. I too looked forward to each post and learned so much from him. Mr. Blosl was an inspiration in many ways. My sincerest condolences to his family.

He was so genuine. Ya just don't find many like him any more. I will miss him greatly.

Thru Bobs many posts on other threads, I eventually got pulled into the Heritage FOwl thread. He helped me to understand heritage vs hatchery. I will be forever grateful.
