I haven't heard of any of thoseI need to stop.
I already have so many books I need to read:
Emily Starr Series.
20,000 Leagues under the sea.
Left Behind.
I'm sure there are more on my shelf. I'm never gonna get through my pile XD
I hate it when authors add characters in just to kill them off.Amazingly written? Yes. Page turner? Yes. Will make you cry when *character that diDN"T NEED TO DIE* dies? Yes.
20,000 leagues under the sea is by Jules Verne, and he's written a lot of classics. Journey to the Center of the Earth is one of his well-known ones.I haven't heard of any of those
WAIT, I THINK I've heard of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Like, I've heard the name. Once.![]()
The Golden Compass is great!!!! The Amber Spyglass and The Subtle Knife were really confusing for me, though.I hear you, @tripletfeb. I read a couple books a week until I had my son. Now, I'm lucky I can finish one in a few months!
My favorite books are the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. It starts with The Golden Compass, which was made into a movie I never saw. I also spent a lot of time reading Remembrance of Things Past, by Marcel Proust. It was long, but worth it. I'd love to be able to re-read it one day.
I just finished My Name is Red, by Orhan Pamuk. It was ok, but nothing special.
I teach high school, so I also read a lot of YA books!
