Book reccomendations needed please!

I'm reading The Fountainhead and I like it. My friends tell me I have boring taste, though. LOL

As far as animal books are concerned, I like Keeping Livestock Healthy.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory
The Sevenwaters Trilogy by Juliet Marillier
Into the Wild & Into Thin Air by John Krakauer (will need tissues)
Funny Cide by Sally Jenkins (about a racehorse)
Seabiscuit by Laura Hillebrand (racehorse story - excellent!)
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson (very funny)
The Eragon series by Christopher Paolini
Mad Sheep by Linda Faillace (true story, it will make you righteously angry)
Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden (very good)
Second Nature by Michael Pollan (he is a very good food/nature author)

Just remembered that after your post. Maybe wait a year or two to read that one.

LOL!!! While it very adult, it is also a story of survival, redemption, and friendship. I think those qualities really overcome the adult nature of the book. One has to remember it was set in the 1940's..... and in Japan, a woman had to do what a woman had to do to feed herself.

If ever you can't find a book that is out of print, or just want to browse for a great price go to www.abebook.com I get my textbooks there for $1 to $10 when everywhere else they are $80 and up. Shipping often costs more than the book, but even shipping is reasonable.

I just read Life of Pi - about a boy stuck in a lifeboat with a tiger, zebra and an orangutan! Weird, funny, and will have you on the edge of your seat! I really enjoyed that one. Check it out.
