Do you have a Border Collie?

Kelly, our BC had been trained not to go into the living room where the carpet was. She had full run of the kitchen and had claimed the kitchen bay window sill as her domain.

When we moved our farm to Alabama we built a new house. While it was being built we lived in our camper. When we finally moved in the patio door to the kitchen was on back order and the opening was covered with plywood. The front door was the only way into the house. The problem was Kelly would have to cross the carpet to get to the kitchen. She absolutely refused to step on the carpet! Jerry taped the flattened cardboard boxes the windows came in down on the carpet. Kelly very happily walked across the cardboard to her new kitchen domain. She used her cardboard path for over 3 months until the kitchen patio door was installed.

Me neither LOL although I’ve always wanted to try agility but I think it’d be way easier to start with a slower, more forgiving dog because a border collie would memorize and finish the course without you and look back like what? You wanted me to wait? Like, you’d just be in their way hahaha

This made me laugh because it's exactly the reason I love them. They're SO ready to do everything at maximum speed. I haven't entered Nami into any real agility competitions because she's too young, but when she's grown enough, we're going to start. I don't really care about winning, but I know she'll have a blast since she's such a bundle of energy and pure focus.
:love
