Bored duck

I have a duck who is inside due to an attack. She’s doing great now, but she seems to be bored and lonely. Any suggestions? I do take her outside when possible, but due to the risk of infection, it can only be when I am able to supervise.

I don't know about ducks, but when my chickens are bored I give them something to peck at. Hope that helps!

Got a head of Romain or cabbage cut the cabbage in 4ths and see if she’ll nibble on it.A mirror also can help. They love to look at themselves in the mirror.

What type of injuries? Definitely would be better off outside

This duck has had serious wounds from being attacked by a wild animal and doesn't need to be outside yet. She is taking very good care of her.

Frozen Peas in a bucket of water will keep her occupied, just expect some minor flooding inside the house.

Oh yes they love to play in water. a tarp on the floor under the bucket will help.

I will try that thank you! She’s a picky eater lol hopefully she’ll like that! I do put mealworms in her water, and she loves chasing them around. I will try the mirror!

Now that is a first!! I thought all ducks were crazy for peas!!
They've been banned until further notice at my house because Tom the drake loses his mind over some peas!! Usually he's a gentleman to his mate Fraggles and stands by while she eats all the treats and goodies, but not when it comes to peas...he even chases her away from the bowl!!
