Boston Terriers PHOTOS!! on 33

I have one that will be 13 next week. He is blind with Glaucoma, has 2 rear twisted knees, & is one BIG vet bill, but I wouldn't take a truckload of gold for him! Even though we have to "babysit" him 24 hours a day, he is such a joy, & is STILL boss over 6 more dogs, consisting of a Doberman, 2 border Collie mixes, a Husky mix, A Dashund, & a Min-Pin.
Here is "BUG-EYED-B@$^*+#", Bug for short. They are the Tough-guy comedians of the dog world,...but remember, the shorter the snout, the more stubborn the dog!

Bostons are pretty cool dogs. Did you know that they are a bred down Pit Bull?? They used to have the nickname "round heads". I wish I had a nickel for every one named Beaner

Most people see the black and white ones, but they come in brindle as well.

The first dog I ever had was a Boston. She was super smart, lovable, and easy to train. Contrast that with the cockapoo we had that was lovable but dumb as a box of rocks

I don't know if it was her temperment or her breed, but she was VERY protective of me and would not let a stranger or another animal get near me until they passed her test. She wasn't mean about it, just ran interference.

I highly recommend a rescue dog first, and then watch the dog's weight so it doesn't experience breathing difficulty that can come with being overweight and short-nosed.

OHHH I love Boston Terriers (Or Terrorists as us Boston people will so fondly call them). I agree with all the above statements, they are kind fun loving silly dogs. The only comment

I have to disagree with is the fact that they not high energy breed They LOVE to bounce and play and get into things they shouldn't and being generally thick skulled, however what they lack in brains they make up for in steadfast loyalty and lovability. If the family is on the go then so is our Winston, whether that is jogging, wrestling, fetching, & jumping or just a good ol cuddle to watch TV with.
I think their motto is "I'm ready when you are"

This is my boy Winston, 25 pounds of pure fun, he's is a good dog when he wants to be.

Thanks you all, I have been having second thoughts about getting her, (i do this everytime I get a new pet though)

I talked with the owner of her last night for nearly an hour on the phone, he raved about her. I asked him why he didnt just keep her, he told me he wanted to, but that in his town you are limited to how many dogs you can have (we are too) and that he is at his limit with his own dogs.

I couldnt fall asleep until after midnight, and I have been up since 6:00 this morning! lol

I LOVE the brindle ones, and we saw a blue one at the Vet once that was adorable!

Don't second guess yourself. You are getting her from a reputable breeder at a good price with all the vet things done already. It's a fabulous deal & a good deed to adopt her as she lived such an awful life as a puppy. Go see her, love her, take her home. And good luck with your new life partner
