Rosie was so skinny until around 5 years of age. Even now she keeps her shape even though the vet says she has hypothyroidism. Maggie looks so much like my Rosie. Love her shiny coat.

I've had 3 boxers in my lifetime. One at a time, because they are so special there can only be one. Kinda like the Highlander for those old enough to remember those movies.

I only keep female dogs, and it's always iffy to keep more than one female boxer because they get jealous. Boys apparently don't care from what I read.

Unfortunately, my experience did not go well with 2 half brothers in the house. We got our first Boxer boy from a breeder in 2020. Two years later we had an opportunity to take in his half brother which was about 1 year younger. The adopted boy went from quiet and playful with our 2 year old Boxer boy and once comfortable in our home, he became very aggressive towards our boy to the point he attacking our sweet boy. We ended up taking him back to the breeder. I am hoping this was just a one of situation because I see so many social media posts of people with 2+ boxers in the same household of mixed sexes. This is our third Boxer. We had 2 females before and are totally in love with their affectionate and silly personalities!

Boxers seem to be a jealous breed in general. They bond tightly with their people, and I'm sure that's what can cause problems. They seem to want to be the only one of their breed in the house. Others keep multiple without problems. I am known to baby my boxers, so I'm sure that doesn't help. It's nice to read 2 females can get along.
