Crowing
Peewee is looking more like a pullet. Still no hint of saddle feathers. Crispy has some very obvious male saddle feathers coming in. That Mahogany gene can make sexing a real pain.

Crispy is definitely a cockerel, and I'm leaning toward pullet on Pewee.Thank you so much for all your replys! Here are some new pictures I took of them today. We are fairly certain crispy (brownish one) is a roo. We are hoping that peewee is a lady so we dont have to choose between our babies.View attachment 1181299 View attachment 1181300 View attachment 1181301 View attachment 1181302 View attachment 1181305 View attachment 1181307 View attachment 1181308 View attachment 1181309
Yes, I believe so. I guess I was hasty in my decision of Peewee's gender. Normally the red rusty colored fathers that appear in patches on Easter Eggers (or mixes) indicates cockerel. It is unusual but possible for a pullet to have. Also ask as many questions you have, you are no bother.I don't mean to keep bothering about my babies but, im a new chicken mama. Do hens have round saddle feathers? Crispy (brownish one) has really pointy ones coming in but, peewee (grayish one) has round saddle feathers.
Yes, roosters will get pointy saddle feathers. Hens can't get pointy saddle feathers, it's a male-only trait. But, there are some breeds (such as campines and sebrights) that never get pointy saddle feathers, no matter what gender they are.I don't mean to keep bothering about my babies but, im a new chicken mama.
