Bra incubating

Day 16.

Egg 1 is still the same.

Egg 2, chick may have gotten larger? Not sure. I can still see the veins though, so it's still alive.

Anyone know when quail chicks fully absorb the yolk and the veins receed?

Also, should I be concerned at this point not having them pip??

Thank you!

I wish I knew more about quail hatching, but I hope they both hatch for you! 💕 Watch for an internal pip before they externally pip.

Are they button quail? I’ve incubated a bunch of them (not in my bra haha) and they generally start to internal pip by day 16-17. Human body temps are a bit lower then an incubator or a mama quail so it’s possible it took slightly longer for the internal temps to be high enough for embryo development to actually begin.
Don’t give up hope! Do you have any candling pics? It’s pretty hard to see anything at this stage but I could give you my best guess 🤞

Yes they are button quail! And that is what i was thinking, they make take a little longer to develop fully. I'll candle them tomorrow night again, and post a picture then. Thank you!
