Just candled a few brabanter eggs with my new 200 lumes flashlight and the chick was busy moving

Expected hatch data is 18/19

At 7 days, it looks like I've got 10 out of 18 shipped eggs developing.

Do let us know how the hatch goes, please.

I am looking for Cream Brabanter hatching eggs. Any ideas?
I looked at Ideal Hatchery but they are sold out until 2012.

Fill out the form on Ideal's page that says request to be notified when the have some and they will call you when you do not expect a call. A few of us here have gotten out birds this way. But order lots of chicks as you will need to cull most of them that a deficient in some way like no crest or wrong type. I got two beautiful roosters and one hen. This pertains to day old chicks.

Or do a search for Brabanters and you will find a website in Tx that sells eggs. I can not remember the name but it is easy to locate using a search engine.

Ideal Hatchery sold out alot of their breeds. It really does speak for the chicken boom we have been experiencing LOL! I hope you all will get some of those cute babies! I too am on the list waiting to be put on the order for some Spitzhaubens.
