Aye, Momma hen, they look so much alike in conformation and type and color. The only differences I can figure out are the amount of crests...Spitz has more of a mohawk while the Brabanters may be more busher but not Polish like. Bearded and non bearded can tell the difference but what happens when you get a Brabanter that has no beard? Is there some kind of throwback going on? I would not be surprised if there is some Polish blood crossed somewhere in the background in their pedigree by the hatcheries. I would not be surprised if they got a Golden Laced Polish going on back there to make some Golden Brabanters. Heck, for what I can assume its the Golden Laced Polish crossed with SSH (if they didnt have Spitz waaaaaaay back then!).
It would be interesting to see if one can do some DNA testings on the Brabanters of two colors, the Spitz of two colors...it would be a very interesting find.
