Brabanters and Spitzhaubens--The Differences PIC HEAVY!

Allenwranch, here is the HUGS for your granddaughter! Sometimes their best teacher in life ARE their grandparents!

Yes I do agree it is just part of having chickens. When I lost my first one, I thought I was losing my marbles but the next one would come easier knowing that it was not eaten or taken by predator or coop fires.

Do you still have Dick? Do a pedigree, male line LOL! Or do you have several roos with the flock? Do they all trace to Dick?

To answer the earlier question (page 115): yes, white spangled gold is Chamois. It appears to be a lighter colour than the black gold spangled colour, but it isn't (or shouldn't be, depending on your birds ofcourse). That's just the effect of the white spangles (an illusion like the bend lines when you see them next to a circle). If you take two feathers (of either colour one) and cover the spangles you shouln't see any difference with a well coloured bird. That's the way they're judged here in The Netherlands anyway.

Thank you.
