Brackets for attaching a 2x4 to a 4x4

Can anyone help me find brackets for attaching a 2x4 (small side) to a 4x4?? I’ve looked at HD and amazon and the only thing i could find is a hurricane tie

Joist hanger. If it's not supporting much weight just toe nail it.

Just an alternative to consider. I like to directly screw the two boards together and then if additional support is needed, use 1-2 basic L-brackets to make it stiffer.

A hurricane tie would work fine to stabilize the 2x4 over the 4x4 if it's sitting flat on it. If you are bird-mouth cutting for full area weight bearing like a rafter, a hurricane tie would work as well.

They want to much money for those hanger so i made my own out of 2x4 scraps. Just notch 1 1/2" on the scrap piece and you have your hanger. I love my coop.

Now here’s another question, Can i use these under t1-11 siding for the roof rafter without cutting a bird mouth in the rafter to fit over the 4” piece..? if that makes sense. I have no idea how to cut the birds mouth
