I am new to breeding chickens. I have two Light Brahma hens that are about 7 months old, I just wanna know when is the appropriate age for my Brahmas to have baby chicks???

Are you breeding pure Brahmas? Where is your cockerel to breed with your pullets?

If the eggs are fertile and of a good size then go ahead.
Some people prefer to wait till they’re fully mature (2 years) till they start breeding them.

Yes, I would like to breed pure Brahmas since I have a Light Brahma rooster which is a little over 1 year old. I don’t want to breed them young. And I love brahmas and would love to have a golden one

Yeah, I just don’t want them to have babies at a young age. They still are babies, so I might wait till they are almost 2 years old
