What is that you are adding to their water? I add a little organic ACV to my LBrahma's water dispenser, but it does not turn it dark. Almost looks like Dr. Pepper - you wouldn't!

There is only one person, he made them from scratch and hes pretty much there but I don't know it he is letting go of any of his stock yet. They are his own creation and he has been working on them for a while. There is also a different guy with silver laced and blue laced red.

The silver and BLR guy is named big medicine and he might have links to his projects inside of this thread somewhere. The Buff laced guy is named Dan P. and you can find some of his birds on this thread at the classroom at the coop.

The thread was started by Big Medicine and you can see his birds in the begining of the thread. I linked to page 2 of the thread where you can seeone of BM's BLR cocks and if you scroll down you see Dan P.'s birds

I love them too and am interested in buying some if I still have a job in September. I have light, dark, buff, but would love some laced ones in other colors. I love these birds...it's impossible not to love a Brahma.

I have some partridge Brahmas from this stock:

These are birds of a woman named Kim who has more photos at the American Brahma Club Forum.

There are quite a few people in the US now who have partridge brahmas. Most of the stock, however is related. Im working on getting in some different blood via dark brahmas. They arent ready yet , but next spring and summer I hope to be getting plenty of eggs out to people to increase the breeding base of partidges in the US. Hopefully they will be recognized by the APA in the near future.

Four weeks ago I purchased 8 buff Brahmas and 7 dark Brahmas from Ideal Hatchery. When they were tiny, I put them all in one large crate, and by the time they were 2 weeks old, I separated them into 2 large crates. When I separated them I put all the dark Brahmas in one crate and all the buff Brahmas in the second crate. After a couple of days I noticed VERY DISTINCT differences in their personalities. The dark Brahmas were mostly calm and quiet and didn't really jump around and peep unless I was changing their pine shavings out or putting in fresh feed or water. On the other hand, the buff Brahmas proceeded to peck one another until the back feathers and tail feathers were nearly gone. So, thinking they might be too crowded I separated the buffs into 2 crates, 4 in each crate. I then put some Noxzema on their backs and tails as I was out of VicksSalve. It seemed to help a lot, but I have to put the Noxzema on every day. One of the little chicks had a bloody red spot on its back from all the pecking, but it has healed up. The buff chicks seem constantly peeping and trying to fly around - they are never calm like the dark Brahmas. Sometimes they rush around the crate in a wild frenzy for no reason - seem very easily excited. I'm wondering why there is such a profound difference in their personalities. The darks are just as crowded as the buffs were, but they don't peck each other and seem content to all be in one crate. They all get fresh pine shavings every 3rd day, and fresh water and food at least 3 times daily. Is there a possibility that something is wrong with these buff Brahmas, or is the behaviour difference between the buffs and darks normal for the particular color? Can anyone explain this?
