Here are Billy and Betty. Huge birds but amazingly docile personalities. Betty isn't a very prolific layer but her easygoing manner and "cooing" makes her special none-the-less.

Thanks, gritsar - she is the sweetest of all our chickens, I think. My daughter will pick her up and set her either on her lap, or lay back and set her on her belly - either way, she usually curls right up and lays down, happily on her. And the other night, my husband was making a bigger roost for them, and while he was putting it in, the door had to be open.. she wandered out, and climbed on his lap (he was kneeling next to their cage) and curled up and closed her eyes, it was so sweet!

This is a 3 month old "rare breed" I got from McMurry. "Blossom" is standard size and Brahma but I've been told "he" has odd color- maybe from partridge lines.... not sure myself.

This is Blossom with same age Sebright and Silkie- shows the size difference

Blossom hasn't crowed yet but does keep track and guards the two girls who he grew up with so I am guessing Blossom is a "he". I also had some members here tell me he's a boy, just with unusual color.

Yes, Blossom is a cockerel. I'd keep the name though, but I'm slightly twisted like that.

Blossom's feathering is a bit off, can still recognize him for what he is though.
