Sorry, we've only had full breed LF buff here. We've had some dark Xs with EEs that have all been sweethearts and not skittish, but I have 3 kids and our birds get handled a lot. I've only seen the others at shows, but not a good measure I don't think as to overall personality as they too get handled a lot.

One of these days I'm going to find some nice buff pullets for our roo even if I have to hatch some. Since we have a bator now it's actually a possibility. We just hatched some of his chicks Xed with some of our layers. We've got two snippy RIR hens and his and their babes are bullies at the moment. The rest are sweet enough so far.

I have buff, partridge, light, and dark Brahmas, and they all seem to be sweethearts. I have a dark Brahma hen who thinks she owns me. She was injured by one of my roos and recuperated in my kitchen, so now every day when she is ready to lay an egg, she pecks at the front door until I let her in. When she is finished, she goes to the front door and looks at me to let her out. I'm actually thinking about getting a doggy door, but I'm afraid I'll have all 30 of them in my living room!

I was planning on that. . . But am so caught up in projects that it will have to be moved up.

I don't think there exists such a thing as "blue" Brahmas, but Blue Partridge and Blue Columbian do not exist in the US. . . I would LOVE to make blue partridge, but the only partridge breeders in the US are in FL and don't ship.

I've seen some Blue Brahmas online. They look all blue or maybe lavender is the correct name? Online it says "blue brahma" I'm new at this chicken thing. I bought some cheap eggs do a first hatch with since I liked the coloring and I could get them right away (silver pencil plymouth rocks), but the Brahmas look like super birds.

Here is Paloma, my 7 month-old dark brahma pullet... she started laying a couple weeks ago, what a good girl!

She was integrated into the "big flock" girls when she started to lay and got her neck feathers pretty much plucked out... I hope they grow back

Paloma is VERY laid-back, gentle, sweet, chatty, calm and submissive... yet is just about the biggest/heaviest girl in the flock and not done growing yet.
