I've been leaning toward cockerel, but I'll occasionally second-guess myself.I'd guess it's a cockerel. Although not getting the black breast feathers yet, otherwise I'd be 100% sure. The pullets usually have more distinct almost barred markings on their wings, back and shoulders at that age.
I just acquired my first Brahamas and man-oh-man are they sweet! I am so impressed with these babies that they may win my heart over from Cochins!
So that's what a 5ish week cockrel looks like? I got 10 pullets from a hatchery that almost always does a crappy job of sexing, so instead of ordering a couple of cockrals I figured I would get at least one or two in that bunch that were miss-labeled. Seems they did a good job this time
