Look for saddle feathers on his back. That is how I tell the cockerels from the pullets.

OK... finally got a few pics of the production buff brahma I have who is now 12 weeks old...
Any thoughts on sex?

Tim and all , My egg eater i am thinking of putting her in with Patron and having a nest that drops the eggs into another area as she is my best hen from NY my favorite one at that . I do not want to loose her genes .

how long does it take to make sure the roo does his job ? So far her eggs are not fertile so im gonna try and force romance so to say 12x6 kennel and small house just for this is alreadt set up but i never imagined id have to do this because Pearl became an egg eater ................. Wish me luck
 
I am hyped right now i have 58 out of 65 eggs hatching or made it to lock down this is whats in my Leahy
pure Dark Brahma Hatching now and Dark Brahma Mix with my egg pen rir,austrolorps and orphington LOL they arnt due until next week but i wanted to test my extra roo or New genetics for Patrons babies fertility so far Looks GOOD .

THEY are Here all eggs have either pipped or hatched i am so excited well the eggs that where left after day 18 that where not Duds . 16 hatched so far and many pips looks like its an all nighter for me , YEAH

there are now 20 OMG i had no idea i do better with my own eggs OK here ya go day old
