turqoiuse? I dont even know how to spell that!!!

Does anyone know if I run a Buff Laced Roo over some Gold Laced hens if I could end up with Buff and Gold Laced offspring? I know that the gold laced were used to create the buff laced but does anyone have more of a definitive handle on the genetics or a punnet square or something??? Lol Thanks!! :)

To my understanding, the buff laced are gold laced, with the addition of dominant white. Depending if your male has one or two copies, (only takes one to show in this case), will determine if he will produce buff laced only, or both.

Buff laced (homozygous dominant white, I/I) x gold laced (i/i) = 100% buff laced (hetero dominant white, I/i)
Buff laced (I/i) x gold laced (i/i) = 50% gold laced (i/i), 50% buff laced (I/i)

I have been trying to research

and figure all of this out myself, I know you are supposed to have a Gold Laced in order to keep the color in the lacing . THey say the lacing fades when you continually breed Buff Laced to Buff Laced. That being said even though I am not sure I think that breeding them together is the only way to keep your color in your lacing. I have 2 GLB hens 1GLB rooster and 2 BLB roosters in a pen waiting on them to start laying

I am looking for some quality hatching eggs to speed up mine.
