I'm bummed. I purchased blue partridge eggs on eBay in order to add to my genetics pool. I paid nearly $100 for them! Well, none developed. I contacted the seller who said he would send replacements. He said he put a new rooster in with the hens, so he obviously knew he had fertility problems. He made promises until the 45 days were up that I could open a claim on eBay, and now I have no eggs and no money. When I go back and look at his feedback, I see I'm not the only one with this problem. Darn, darn, darn!

I also purchased chicks from another seller, not on eBay. I purchased 8, received 9, and 3 died. The remaining 6 are all boys. Just my luck!

So much for diversifying my gene pool.
hard lesson to learn , to bad theres not some way that you could report him to the public on ebay to protect someone else since its too late for you.
sorry

Darn, that's what I thought

guess I'll watch them...lots of cockerels this year

Let them grow. Its silly to think you can sex one week old chicks by the way they are feathering.

Hatch as many as you can. Looks like a decent start for you. I think you told me, maybe I dreamed it?....is Skytop Jackie and Vannessa K? Maybe pick up another female at a show this Fall if you can. You are headed in the right direction. Good luck.

Tim

Very proud and lucky to have them. I really liked Dan Castles group at Little Rhody

I plan on growing them all out to be sure ( I want to keep the best cockerel out of the bunch). I just thought it would be a good experiment to see what they turn out to be.
