I have hear of people starting 4-6 weeks before I show. I usually just start 2 weeks before thoughHow soon before a show should I begin cage training?
its really just personal preference. Some start cage training a lot sooner than others. What show are you going to? The Ohio Nationals?Guess I need to start then.
I was going to enter and then went to the barn to see who all looked good. No one does! everyone is either molting or still growing.O well after seeing the dates i wouldnt of been able to go anyways, my niece is having her 5th birthday party. Good luck at the show!Yes, I'm showing 4 light hens and 1 buff male in the junior show. I think the females have a good chance at winning but the male I'm not sure. Some days I think yes and some days I think no. Guess we will see. I'm also bringing about four buff pullets to sell and a buff male to sell. I'm buying a light male from the Aldrich's while I'm there too.
Brahmas are a slow-growing chicken. My pullets generally start laying around 8 to 9 months of age, and that's about the time my boys start crowing, but they don't stop growing until well over a year old.Can someone please tell me what age brahma become mature? I have two that were hatched in April of this year.
Thank you
Thank you Sjisty! I do love the two I have and I am going to add some more hens this spring.Brahmas are a slow-growing chicken. My pullets generally start laying around 8 to 9 months of age, and that's about the time my boys start crowing, but they don't stop growing until well over a year old.
