Anyone else willing to help me out so I do not have to order from a hatchery and take a chance? I would rather cut to the chase and get some good ones now.

Mr. Urch sells dark chicks:Anyone else willing to help me out so I do not have to order from a hatchery and take a chance? I would rather cut to the chase and get some good ones now.
I would just like to snowball on this. I would before a show if you know a breeder you would like to obtain birds( and they are attending the show ) from, then the best thing to do is to just contact them ahead of time. Good birds go FAST at shows. If you contact them ahead and tell them what you want they usually can help you out and hold birds for you.I don't know of any "serious breeders" who sell chicks. VERY few will even sell eggs. Your best bet is to meet breeders at shows. Typically breeders sell excess birds in the Fall. You might subscribe to the "Poultry Press". Breeders do advertize there.
here is a web site that has a photo of a buff hen/pullet:Are buff brahma roos a white color and girls a brown?
That red Columbian is stunning!! Maybe that can be one of my projects when I have more space.
