Is there ANYONE on here that has Standard Dark Brahmas and would sell/trade or give me some eggs? Very early this spring I fried a clutch in my hovabator that my friend DEARLY wanted to have hatched, and then her only hen died. She was older. She has only two roosters now and I would LOVE to be able to replace the clutch I destroyed. I feel so bad about it. I was just in the learning curve of the styrofoam incubator and feel now like I could have good success with it if I could just get my hands on some eggs. Either that or if they have a nice quality hen they could sell if you are willing to ship, not neccessarily a fantastic hen, but one free from disqualifying faults would be AWESOME! Thanks for looking. I REALLY would like to get her back in the Dark Brahma LF game if I could.
Okay, my turn.
I was going to just post photos of my cuties. But now I am starting to doubt their genders after I started reading about colors and all.
I was sure that these 2 were both pullets.
Opinions?

Please please please don't say roo...Out of my 13 chicks bought as pullets, I can already tell that 2 are definitely cockerels.
Oh thank goodness! And thank you for your opinions! I really wanted these Brahmas and if they had been roos I most likely would have had to re-home them.
Now if I could just get my hands on a Buff...

Actually some of the chicks would be dark on dark, some would be light on dark or buff on dark.
Rodriquez, how many dark on darks did you end up with? I tried to grab the dark hen's eggs the minute they left the nest box.
For all of those who have brahma hens, how well/consistent do they lay? I believe this question was asked earlier by somebody but it didn't get a response. I am interested as I only have one hen, and would like to know what to expect. Thanks! Thanks for all of the interest in this thread dedicated to a great breed of chicken!
