Light Brahma chicks range from almost all white to smokey grey with black. Completely black is not normal. That may explain the excess black as a 4 month old.

I was surprised to see it already has mottling. Even though.... Well genetics say it shouldn't. It might loose them when it molts. Either way. I know they are hiding in there.

10 1/2 weeks old, I hatched two almost twins Buff Brahma Standards from Gabbard farms

what do you guys think? they're quite large compared to the rest of the flock

Cheryl Fowl Visions here in FLorida is raising dark standards. I got mine from her and they are beautiful DOnt know if anyone closer to you has them Caroles are show quality.

I believe he sells hatching eggs, but may have stopped shipping for the year.
