I just added two brahmas to my flock of five. I found a purple egg in the nest box yesterday, which I had not seen before. Has anyone ever heard of or seen brahmas laying purple eggs?

Yep. It's caused by an extra white coating over the egg. My Blue Partridge occasionally lays some, but honestly compared to my Marans they're more pink than purple. The lighter the egg the more pink, the darker the more purple. They are beautiful though!

does anyone have pics of their light brahma roo. I bought three and once they grew i found they were hens. i knew they were hens around 3 weeks.

We get easily over 120 inches.

the difference is the type of rain lol in the U.K. I used to like calling it low flying clouds, a constant dampness, I hear washington is alot like scotland but have a feeling when it rains in washinton it actually rains

tim has bantam lights and buffs he posted pics recently you need to work your way back to find them, he has gorgeous birds, I doubt hubby will let me pay what Tim would want for his eggs thats why I'm asking ahead of time.
