:woot I can tell by those bright red combs. I can’t wait til my two new black LF Cochins start laying, they’re just a over four months old and are showing a lot of promise. I wish I could find a rooster to breed them with when they’re older, but they’re so hard to find. :barnie

Omg! I am really falling in love with this breed. I have some questions though if that’s okay? Are Brahmas as friendly as they say? I’ve read they have more of an issue with scaly legs mites. Is that true? Are they good layers? I’m seriously considering getting one or two in the spring.

All my brahmas are friendly,docile and quiet, haven’t had a problem with scaly leg mites yet, ‘knock on wood’
And they’re good layers, I get around five eggs a week from each individual hen. they’re great winter layers!
