That's going to be really pretty. I like the contrast between the structure of the pinwheels and the flow of the print.

Okay, done and ready to quilt. Batting and backing are on .Question....what color thread would you use? I have all shades of natural/off white/beige, dark blue, olive green, dark green, gray, black, light blue to choose from, even some gold or silver metallic (not as strong, the metallics). I was thinking white would be fine, but black might even be better, though harder to see as I quilt the border. What do you fine folks think? Barbara? Kathryn?

maybe the dark green thread and white for the border? or a maroon all over would work but you don't have that.

No, I don't have any maroon. I even checked the old spools of long staple polyester in the bsmt and no maroon there, either. I do have Hunter Green, Olive Green and off white. I'm going into town tomorrow and maybe the quilt shop will have maroon if you'd prefer that, though.

If you wanted a holiday effect, a gold metallic thread would be very pretty.

I've been out for a while....but, if you haven't bought your threads yet....there is a mustard or gold yellow in most of the colored fabrics. That might be effective.

Since the backing fabric is going to be one piece of fabric, I wouldn't mix white or beige with another colored thread unless you want the pattern made by the quilting to stand out on the back side.
