I honestly hope I don't have that, because going to the doctors, let alone the hospital just about sends me into rabid panic attacks

Good thing you're not having a baby then, no dignity or peace in that whole deal. (I swear at some point they were giving tours thru my room).

That's the main cause of snoring. Gets worse with weight gain. My GP croaked and when my new GP gave me my1st annual physical, he said you need a sleep test. You have the throat structure for sleep apnea. I declined. No way I could sleep with a mask on.

I sure hope not! DH is pretty healthy and this was the first surgery he had ever had. Doctor is very suprised at how fast he recovered. I am not suprised, I can't keep up with him!
Seriousy Boyd, ask your wife if it seems like you stop breathing at times. This is more common with people who have gained weight and can cause heart and blood pressure problems and you wake up feeling tired, not rested. Sometimes the cure is as simple as loosing a little weight. DH's problem was because he had extra large tonsils which was blocking his airway. DH doesn't like doctors or hospitals either, especially when it comes to paying the bills!

Actually before I gained weight I had heart and blood pressure problems (stroke last october, part of the reason still unemployed and sahd) and the weight gain hasn't helped.... but the quickest way to shoot my blood pressure over 220 is to make me go to the hospital

if they had an out patient clinic where I could wake up in my lazy boy................... i might consider it!

My DH didn't think he could either. The first night he sat up in bed real quick to swat one of the cats and the hose jerked his head around so fast he nearly got whiplash!

He found that he felt much better when he used the machine, he didn't like it much so decided on having the surgery. No more snoring so far.
