Breda Chicks

I have 4-3 week old Breda chicks. Is there anyway to find out their sex besides venting?

Yep, waiting. The time for vent sexing has past, that should've been done when they were newly hatched. DNA sexing is another option, but it can be pricey and you'll have to collect the sample, mail it off and wait for results.

I was never any good at sexing Breda until they were 10-12 weeks old. I wanted to get some of the Cuckoo Breda and cross them with a Splash Breda Cockerel to produce blue Sex linked Breda. I think that type of a project would take a lot of work to get good blue color and sex-links too. Yep...the one think I hate about Breda is waiting to know if they are pullets or cockerels. There temperament and gracefulness make them all worth the wait though.
