Oh no rooster, how long was the power out?I would keep incubating, they should be ok.
Sylvester I wish breda were auto sexing or even sex linking. Would make it easier.
I'll just watch the eye liner one to see what it turns out to be

Like chicken danz says -- Breda breeding rules are not normal like other chicken breeds. But the darker eyeliner is still something interesting to watch. Of course, to make it a permanent sexing rule means you'd have to have several dark eyeliner chicks to see if they all turn out a particular sex -- but still, it'll be fun to watch!

It's a gqf sportsman cabinet incubator so it loses heat fast was off 2 hours Before I got a generator hooked up into it maybe they'll be okay

2 hours doesn't sound bad. Hens leave their clutch uncovered to go eat, drink, dust-bathe, a couple times a day and the chicks still hatch.

Yeah hopefully they'll hatch only thing that concerns me is how it dropped to 70 degrees for that long

I agree, they should be fine. Add 5 extra days at hatch date for any late hatchers. Lockdown at normal day 18 but allow a few extra days after that for late hatches

Hurray! They're here -- Blue Breda juvenile pullets from chicken danz!

I wanted to take dozens of photos but left them alone to get acclimated -- they are beautiful deep blue with great lacing already! One girl has lost her tail feathers -- too docile around other breeds but that's okay with me! Feathers grow back! These girls are so-o-o calm. DH has adjusted things in their kennel a couple times and they don't even flutter. They will complain when disturbed but do it very calmly. We're so happy to have Blue's again!
