Breed and gender please

Yeah, they're waiting till it's safe to hatch a large batch all at once. I don't have any good brooders for the cold season, otherwise I'd work with what I have, but I did want to switch up to a different breed and the silkie cochin was the mindset I had. Now after this experience, waiting till I get some corid and or late winter and early spring before I care for tiny chicks like this. They don't need to go through this experice like the one we had this morning.

The father looked dead on like this one here. No spots or nothing. Wish I took a pic. Thanks you guys anyways. I was really hoping for a hen, but oh well. I'm sure it'd mix well with my barred rock hen, orpington or RIR. Not sure what'd be a better mix, but if they're both cocks, one will have to go for sure:(
no you won't because if there raised together from chicks there most likley not to fight:D :)
