Breed and gender

What breed might this be? Am told it is a laying hen just got her. Is she a hen?

She kind of looks like a leghorn with those big ol comb spikes. Not seeing any pointy hackle feathers or sickle feather so looks like a girl to me.

Just remembered that leghorns have yellow legs. Maybe a leghorn mix?

Maybe Minorca.. I can't see saddles (well).. but also thinking female from what I can make out..

These feather shapes are well established by this size comb and wattles.

Some hens can get spurs.. I don't see any on her yet.. do you? Did they mention age?

About 1.5 to 2 years I didn't even think about checking for spurs

At that age she is definitely a hen

I'd agree on Minorca. Definitely a Mediterranean breed, or mix of breeds at the very least. This bird does not have spurs. I'm also 100% sure she's a hen. 1.5-2 years old sounds about right

I agree on black Minorca or Minorca mix too! She matches these photos pretty well
